New Year's Blessing

I am the New Year.

I am unused, unspotted and without blemish.

I stretch before you 

three hundred and sixty-five days long.

In every hour of every day,

I will give you sixty minutes

that never have known the use of Man.

It remains only for you to fill them 

with love, joy, hope and charity.

I am the New Year.

I am here but once.

Take hold of me and live.
